Since there isn't a way to get a
free web site, I am putting things on a Polk County ARES Spaces site.
The url is:
http://polkcountyares.spaces.live.com
I am going to have files on there that you can download, print, or just
read. I am also going to put the Polk County ARES Basic Emergency
Communications test on the site soon, so it can be printed out. If you
have any suggestions, or if there is anything you would like to see put
on the site, let me know. This will save sending out several e-mail for
events, and problems with opening attachments, as I can put the
information on the site and you can print out what you need.

Also the Club meetings
due to conflicts at the Science Center will be moved to the fourth
Thursday at 6:30 at the Science Center.
Was told that my contests are way
to easy. Lets try this one on for size.
Here is 2 pieces of Radio Equipt. They're used for contesting.
The picture on the left is for one frequency & the one on the right
is for another.
1 hint is the one on the LHS is for VHF. The one on the RHS is UHF.
The Transmissions are in Morse Code.
The one on the RHS is for receiving.
Question #1: What sport are they used for?
Question #2: About what era did this originate?
Question #3: What Country did they originate from?
Question #4: what is ARDF? And what 2 frequencies does this group use
& why?
The first correct e-mail sent to me wins a nice free meal at Famous
Dave's Bar B Que.
